Shall we not go on in so great a cause?
Go forward and not backward.
Courage, brethren, and on to the victory.
Let your hearts rejoice and be exceedingly glad.
Let the earth break forth into singing.
(T&C 151:18)

Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous,
and shout for joy, all you that are upright in heart.
(Psalms 32:3)

PAYETTE RIVER RAFTING
Saturday, August 30th at 12:00 pm

We will depart from our brunch location promptly at noon and carpool to Banks, Idaho, where we will embark on a 3-hour guided rafting trip down the Payette River with Bear River Rafting Co. Each raft will include an experienced rafting guide and an adult chaperone. You'll find sandy beaches and great swimming holes on the main fork of the Payette River, and you’ll also get a taste of rafting that famous Idaho whitewater. Teens of all ages will enjoy this activity!

Please wear clothing that can get wet and shoes that strap to the feet (no flip flops). Life vests and helmets will be provided by Bear River Rafting Co. Bring sunscreen, water, and your own snacks (please note that we are offering brunch and dinner for the teens, but there is no lunch).

$72 per person

70 spots available. Payment will be arranged after you register. Your spot IS NOT RESERVED UNTIL PAYMENT IS MADE.

If you will be joining us for the river float, there is a mandatory liability waiver. Click Here to complete the liability waiver.

Answers to Common Questions

  • What is the purpose of this conference?

It is our hope that we can share a relaxing weekend of fellowship, community, and learning together as we rejoice over the great things that are happening in our day. We have purposely kept this conference loosely structured so that you can make and explore new connections with fellow believers, spend time with those you already know, and plan activities that YOU want to do. We hope you will enjoy some time outdoors in fellowship, instead of inside on hard chairs for hours on end.

  • Will more Scripture additions be presented for a vote?

At this time, it appears all of the voting was completed at the Spring conferences, and we are not anticipating additional votes.

  • Will there be an opportunity for me to speak?

Yes! You are free to speak to and visit with any you can convince to listen to you while you are fellowshipping with fellow believers!

  • What ages are welcome for the teen activities?

It seems self-evident, but “teens” are welcome. If your child is still a pre-teen, then check back next year. If your child is now an adult, kindly suggest that they find a group of young adults to plan activities with.

  • Are there young adult activities that have been planned?

Not that we are currently aware of, but if a group would like to plan something, we would be happy to include it on this website.

  • How will transportation work for the teen float trip?

Teens should be dropped off to Reed and Lori Larsen’s home no later than 11:45 am on Saturday, August 30th (see address and information above). Adult chaperones will then carpool the teens to Banks, Idaho (about 1 hour away) and carpool the teens back to the Larsen home when the float is complete. It is expected that the group will arrive back between 5:00 & 5:30 pm. Your teen will be able to contact you via phone or text message as soon as we arrive back in the valley to arrange for pick-up. The route to Banks is a twisty mountain road, so teens will not be permitted to drive themselves.

  • Can I be a chaperone for the teen float trip?

Yes, we are still looking for some parents to help chaperone the float trip. This would include: driving the teens (the more seats, the better) to Banks, floating the river (cost is $72/person, including chaperones), and driving teens back down the mountain. We are also looking for parents who are willing to just help drive (not float). If you are interested in helping, please indicate that on your child’s Teen Activity Registration.

  • Is there anything planned for the teens as an alternative to floating the river?

Yes, they are welcome to join in the midday meet-up at the park with their families!

  • I would like to contribute financially to the conference. How can I help?

We have tried to keep this conference really simple, and as such, we are not needing donations at this time. If you have extra funds to help with this, we would suggest you reach out to those in your fellowship community who may need help coming to the conference.

  • I would like to attend but can’t afford it. Can you help?

We are not in a position at this time to help anyone attend the conference. We suggest you ask your fellowship if they are able to help you.
